2 - Erlang project membership

Erlang projects membership allows to participate to the life of the community and publish content on the Erlang project Website.

All you need is just to "join". Simply follow the "join" link on the left column and enter your membership informations.

3 - Workspaces

When you are register you have at least access to your personnal workspace area. This is where you produce content.

You can mainly create URLs, notes or structured documents or upload standard documents.

In the future we are planning to add special object type to describe Erlang projects.

Workgroups can be seen as subdirectories. Dedicated workgroups are created to share documents with a group of people to collaboratively work and elaborate them.

You can organize your personal space as you want.

4 - Workflow

When you are ready for publication of an objet, you submit it for publication on the site. You submit it for publication in one or several hierarchies.

The object publication will be validated by the people responsible of the given hierarchy. The document can be accepted in a hierarchy but refused in another. This process is mainly intended to ensure that the editorial aspect of the site is consitent and not for censorship purpose...

5 - Workgroups and hierarchies animation

You can participate to Erlang projects animation by two means:

  • Becoming manager of a workgroup. Your role is to organise and boost the work of the Workgroup with its members.
  • Becoming a responsible of a given hierarchy. You role is to read, correct and validate documents submitted for publication. You role is also to define the editorial policy of the hierarchy by accepting, rejecting contribution and propose change or other more relevant hierarchy for publication.

To become more active in the site activity please simply apply by sending an email to erlang@erlang-fr.org.

6 - Commenting pages

Erlang-projects members can comment any object type (Documents, notes, URL).

The user need to be logged into the site to get the opportunity to add a comment.

Be careful: comments are visible to every one, even anonymous visitors as long as the document is published.
